Easter

What a fun week we've had celebrating Easter!  We've made some cute crafts, had 2 Easter egg hunts, and covered a variety of skills.  Hard to believe I won't get to see these kiddos for the next two weeks over Spring Break!  I've gotten so attached to these sweet little people. :)  Hope you all enjoy the pics and videos from the week!

We created our own Easter egg crafts by painting 20 dots on our eggs.  (Most of them got carried away with painting and forgot to count, but that was the original intent! :)

We read our sentences with our new sight word "at".  Then, we cut the sentences apart and glued the correct pictures next to each sentence based on what we read.

So proud of how far we've come with our cutting skills since the beginning of the year!

We cut out the numbers 11-20 and had to paste them in order.

We painted with Q-tips and created a mosaic cross.  So pretty and so colorful!

We worked on matching our uppercase letter magnets with the correct letters.

We worked on writing and saying our first and last names.

We looked through our reading folders at some of our previous papers and added some new papers our sight word "at".   Don't forget to look through these with your child whenever you get a chance. :) They love looking back on their previous papers to see what they remember.

We made thank you notes for our dentist visitors that we had last week.

We used our color words to color Easter eggs.

We traced our numbers with markers.

We also did drawings of our All About Me student of the week.

We created addition problems based on the pictures we saw.  This was great addition practice and number writing practice too.

We also made some cool cross crafts with "resistance painting."  We put crosses made from tape on each picture, and then we painted a rainbow of colors on our canvas.  After the paint dried, we removed the tape.  They were beautiful!  I hope you enjoy them!

We did an Easter egg hunt with paper eggs.  Each egg had a capital letter on it, and we had to find the lowercase letter on our worksheet to match it.  We still had a few kids who were struggling to do this, but it was still fun nevertheless!

We shared our letter "Y" items on our Show and Tell ten frames.

We had 1 yogurt.

We had 1 yellow Uno card.

We had 2 yo-yos.

We had 1 kiddo with yellow hair.

We had 1 "yow" yell! :)

We had 1 bag of yogurt covered raisins.

We had 1 strand of yarn.

We each brought in a plastic filled with something inside that might be hard, soft, quiet, or loud.  We made guesses about what was inside each egg based on what we heard when we shook each egg.  They were great investigators and made great inferences!

We enjoyed a lot of playtime with friends this week.

We let this little man share all of his goodies in the All About Me basket.  Each student also drew a picture of him.

We enjoyed a little bit of sunshine outside this week!  We also did an outdoor Easter egg hunt with plastic eggs before having  recess.

Hope you have a great Spring Break and a blessed Easter too!  As our peep gift said, "He is risen!  Tell all your 'peeps'!"  :)  See you on Wednesday, April 4th!
