Ocean

I sure did miss these sweet kiddos over Spring Break!  It was great to be back studying our ocean theme this week with all of them.  We've made shark fin headbands, painted fish with celery, squished paint on a paper whale in ziploc bags, and even got to enjoy some sunshine outside too!  It's been a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoy the pics from the week!

We worked on putting our last name letters in order to spell our names correctly.

We created our sentences about oceans by cutting them out and gluing them in order.  We read them using a lot of our previous sight words as review.

We put puzzles together in order from 1-10 and 11-20.  This was a little tricky with the teen numbers especially.

We painted the letter "Q" with Q-tips.

We cut out shark fins made of paper, and then....

We created shark fin headbands.

We worked with unifex cubes to create groups of 10 and add numbers together to make 10.

We counted the number of ocean objects on the page and cut out the correct number to match it.

We drew pictures of our friend that is our All About Me Student of the week.  We're working hard to make them look a little realistic in our drawings.

We brought in letter Q items for Show and Tell, and then stood on the ten frame to show how many brought in each item.  We had 1 dinosaur picture that started with Q.  Sorry!  I don't remember how to spell it! :)

We had 1 character named Quinn.

We had 1 quail and Q puzzle piece.

We had 1 quack sign.

We had 6 quarters.

We had playtime with friends inside.

We also enjoyed some Kids Yoga time as well.

We played in the MIM to exercise our minds and body.

It was so wonderful to have some playtime outside too!

Hope you enjoyed the pics!  See you Wednesday!
