Farm Theme and Huber's Trip

Hard to believe this is my last blog for the year. :(  This year has truly flown by so quickly, and I can't believe how much these kiddos have grown!  We had a fun last day talking about our farm theme and visiting Berry Twist for ice cream.  We also had a great day at Huber's as well.  I tried to snap a few pictures on Friday, but these little ones were on the move!  Looks like they had a lot of fun though, and I'm so glad to see that so many families from our class were able to join us.  We've had so much fun this year, and I will miss these kiddos so much.  Hopefully, I'll still see some of you in passing at LAP next year!  Have a wonderful summer! :)

We had fun painting our barns and "gluing" popsicle sticks to them to make them look like wood.  We also painted with tractors as well, which was also another wet and messy activity.  (It's so much easier when things have an extra day to dry, but we just had to send home a lot of wet pics this week.  Sorry!)  Nevertheless, they sure had fun doing it!

Enjoying some playtime in the classroom.  So sweet to see all the friendships these kiddos have made this year.  It's amazing how much they can learn from play and social interaction with others.

I have a feeling there will be a few who will definitely miss our special videos at the end of the day.  Go Noodle (Pop See Ko) was a special favorite, and that's what we're doing the motions to in this picture.  So funny!

By the way, I forgot to mention these cute horses last week.  Cooper's dad, Kevin Main, was nice enough to make these for each child.  They are so cool and were perfect for our Derby theme last week.  Thank you so much Kevin!

We are headed to Berry Twist for ice cream!

We were all able to have some yummy vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. :)

Fun time with friends at Hubers!

So glad that so many of you were able to come out to Huber's and brave the cool weather and rain.  Thanks so much for coming, and thanks for such a great year! :)

Derby and Horses

It's been a crazy week trying to squeeze in a lot of end-of-the year activities!  Thank you so much to the volunteers who came in to help me out.  There's no way Karen and I would have been able to get everything done that we wanted to get done without you guys!  Hope you enjoy the pics from our week of horsin' around with our Kentucky Derby theme! :)

Here's a few short videos we enjoyed:

Little Red Horse Song

Letter Review by ABC Mouse

We did some interviews about our Moms and Dads, and it was so cute to hear their replies!  Can't wait for you all to read them. :)

We decorated our butterfly hands from last week with shiny little gem stickers.

Those little hands are working so hard to get them off and stick them on the paper.

Fun times with the parachute in the green room!

Fun times with a few parents who game in to volunteer.  Thanks again ladies, and the kids loved seeing you for a little while too!

Nothing warms my heart more than seeing kiddos enjoying books. :) :)

So perfect that this sweet girl is enjoying the light table, because she has certainly lit up our classroom this year with her sweet smile and personality.  We've been blessed to have you, Lorelai!

Fun times with the potato head characters this week.  Great fine motor practice too!

Let the Derby Race of the Pool Noodle Ponies begin!

And we're off to the races...

So much fun, as always, with these sweet kiddos!
Can't believe we only have one more day in class left!
