Ten Little Turkeys
Turkey Pokey
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble Dance Song
Cooper got a chance to tell us about all
of his adventures with Gumby last week. He even has a Gumby of his own
at home too! So glad to know Gumby has a brother out there somewhere.
;)
Doing Tabletop Centers to start our day.
Mrs. Susie asked these kiddos about all the things they're thankful for...
and then we hung them up outside for all to see. So funny to see some of their responses!:)
We also shared our turkeys in disguise...
and then hung them up for all to see. We had so many clever and cute disguises!
We searched for items that started with letter "I".
We traced our numbers 1-10 with markers.
We matched the number of items with the correct number and traced the numbers.
We placed stickers on the #10 to trace it.
We created our own puzzles. We colored our turkeys with numbers 1-10 at the bottom, we cut it apart, and then had to put it back together again like pieces of a puzzle. Great activity for coloring, cutting, gluing and using number order.
We did a combo skill sheet to cover our letter "I", number 10 and to review some of our skills we've talked about so far. Keep reviewing at home too! It definitely shows for those kiddos who practice outside of class. Thank you so much!
We counted and colored the number of feathers to match each of our turkeys.
Mrs. Susie helped us color and graph our shapes on our papers with small dotters.
We were able to make our own turkeys as well by gluing on all the feathers. We wanted to make them look fancy and "featherful"!
We painted our turkey handprints, and I laminated them and put them in a popsicle frame for a little keepsake for families.
I didn't want to cover up the little poem on the back, but you can always put a magnet on the back and stick it on the fridge. They turned out so cute. :)
We read our little book and hunted for the sight word "I" to go along with our letter of the week.
We shared all of our letter "I" show and tell items.
We had one Incredible Hulk mask.
We had two instruments.
We had one Ipad.
We had one iguana.
We had one Indiana magnet.
We had one inner tube.
We had one ice pack. Larkyn's family was also sweet enough to send in ice cream for the class to celebrate our letter of the week!
We had one "I Spy" book.
Playtime in class
Part of our playtime was building turkeys with styrofoam and feathers in our sensory bin.
We came up with some really cute creations!
It was so much fun to see what they came up with.
Fun with playdough too!
Getting some wiggles out in our Minds in Motion room.
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving with your families! See you in two weeks!
