It was so great to meet all of the families that attended Open House! I missed a few pictures with kiddos, but I went ahead and included the ones I took. Sorry! Hopefully, you were able to turn in all your forms and supplies at Open House or on the first day. If you still have any additional questions or items to turn in, just let me know.
We had such a great first week in Mrs. Hannah's class!
This week our theme was "All About Me". We talked about the
letter "M" by tracing it, using stickers to cover it, and creating a
list of words that make the "M" sound. We painted, colored,
played with play dough, and hunted for letters in dry rice in our sensory
bin. We had excellent explorers that hunted for letters using sand
shovels to dig through rice. We read the books, "I Like Myself"
by Karen Beaumont as well as "Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon" by Patty
Lovell. They both talk about being yourself no matter how different you
may be. We also managed to get some exercise in our Minds in Motion room
as well as outside. Thank God for beautiful weather and no rain!
Since music also starts with "M", my little musicians had the chance
to make music of their own with a variety of different instruments too.
So much fun had by all this week! :)
I was so busy teaching that I forgot about taking as many "lesson" pictures. I promise I'll include more next week! Nevertheless, we have lots of fun pics with play time and snack time. The two favorite parts of the day for many of your kiddos!
"M" is for MUSIC! We got a chance to play some musical instruments this week together.
It's so much fun to make so much noise! :)
So thankful for a few beautiful days so the kiddos could get outside and enjoy some sunshine!
So nice to see kiddos working together and playing together. We're making new friends already!
What a great helper and friend! It totally melts my heart!
Snack time is always one of the favorite times of the day!
Mrs. Karen read "Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon" at the end of the day.
What a great book about being proud of who you are!
