Gingerbread, Trees, and Lights

It's been a busy week full of fun activities with gingerbread and Christmas trees!  Hope you enjoy the pics!  Don't forget to read the newsletter this week.  There are a lot of dates to remember for the upcoming weeks!

Liam was our Student of the Week and got to share a few items with the class. :)

Katelyn told us all about her adventures with Gumby over Thanksgiving Break. :)

We made out our lists for Santa this year and then traced our names in highlighters for handwriting practice.

We made Christmas trees out of paint samples and little gem stickers.  It was a neat way to work on our shape (triangle) and color (green) of the week.  So fun and such great fine motor practice for these tiny hands!  They turned out super cute too!

We counted the number of gingerbread we saw and matched the correct number with the correct amount.

We colored our Jesus Loves Me gingerbread color sheets.

We did a small science experiment to see what would happen when we put a gingerbread cookie in a bowl of water.  We made our predictions of whether it would sink or float, stay together or dissolve, etc.  We discovered that it broke apart but didn't dissolve.  Parts of it sank and parts of it floated, and the water turned a yellowish brown.

We read the classic story called, "The Gingerbread Man". ~ "Run, run as fast as you can.  You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!"

So many fun opportunities to play and learn with friends. :)

Our kiddos got a chance to try out our new toy school bus on the playground this week!  We bought this toy with money from the Trike-a-Thon fundraiser, and it just came in.  Clearly, it's a big hit!

So many sweet smiling faces!

See all of you next week!
