Space

We launched into a journey to space this week when we studied the moon, the sun, the stars and our solar system.  We made moon crafts, astronauts, and UFOs.  We studied the number 14, the letter W, and the sight word "we".  We also used balls to represent the planets and played with them by bouncing them around on the parachute.  So fun!

We colored our astronauts and put our picture inside of the helmet.

We hunted for the letter "W" on our papers with dotters.

We traced our capital letters in the alphabet.

We used white paint and flour to make our moons look bumpy.  Then, we used round pieces of cardboard to make the craters in our moons.  We talked about the craters that were formed by asteroids and rocks that have hit the moon over time.  Then, we talked about what we would do on the moon.

A few pics from the crazy kiddos.  Such cuties!
