Derby and Horses

It was a busy week of talking about Derby horses and racing in our classroom this week!  We watched footage of the 2018 Derby and talked about the difference between Derby and Oaks races as well.  We colored our own jockey silks and horses and named our horses as well.   I also worked a lot on our final assessments, so we had fewer crafts than usual.  Thanks to a sweet and helpful grandma volunteering her time, we also had racing pool noodle ponies that we were able to race on the playground on Thursday.  So fun!  Hope you enjoy our pics and videos from the week!
