We worked on matching our lowercase letter magnets with the letters on the pan. It's a lot tougher for these little ones than you would think, but they're making progress.
We worked on tracing our letters in the alphabet with markers.
We worked on a combo skills sheet to review our letter "P" and number "7" of the week.
We painted our feet and created a cute craft to go home...
They turned out so cute! I hope you love them too!
We've been working on "sharpening" those cutting skills. We cut apart words in a sentence and then glued the sentence together in the correct order. We're starting to learn that the beginning of a sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with punctuation.
The more we practice, the better we'll get. Don't forget to practice at home with cutting paper with kid-size scissors. I like the rounded edge tip for this age. :)
We read and talked about Fire Prevention tips. We also used this page to review our color words we've worked on so far too.
We painted firetrucks and made a firetruck with shapes.
We shared a variety of letter "P" items on our ten frame this week.
We had 3 pink ponies.
We had 1 pencil.
We had 1 pilot with a python.
We had 1 Pikachu.
We had 2 princesses.
We had 1 Paw Patrol paw print.
We had 1 pumpkin decoration.
We had a bag of microwave popcorn.
We had something else that started with "P," but I have forgotten what these were called. Sorry!
We had a special visit from the firemen. They showed us what they wear to protect themselves and why. They also showed us a kids' video about what to do if a fire ever happened.
Then, we were able to actually see the fire truck and all the tools they use to fight fires.
Look at all these cuties!
We enjoyed some nice weather outside with friends!
They love the new rock table with diggers. So thankful that our fundraiser could provide this! The toy house in the background was also a new purchase and a big hit!
We bought new chalkboards to hang on the fence with paintbrushes and water. They can write and paint on the boards.
Look at all these costumes! So cute! We're ready to go trick-or-treating at the businesses around us. Even the new clothing business next door was kind enough to let us come in for candy in the midst of all their nice women's clothing. :)
It's ok to say "trick-or-treat," but we ALWAYS say "thank you!"
It's time for the Halloween Party! We started of our party with yummy snacks. Popcorn in Halloween bags, brownie bats, bottled water, and...
...cheese and pretzel broomsticks! They were all delicious! Thanks so much to the parents who helped provide snacks and treats this week. :)
We bowled with a pumpkin and knocked over rolls of toilet paper for pins. So cute!
We poked a pumpkin hole for a treat/prize and then played Halloween Bingo.
We worked on a big skeleton puzzle together and read Halloween books afterward.
Then, we wrapped each other like mummies with toilet paper. We had a few who were really nervous about it at the beginning, but I'm so proud of the brave ones who tried it! It's not easy to wrap others either. :)
Last but not least, they got to mummify the teacher or should I say "The Tooth Fairy!"
Such a fun-filled week with these sweet kiddos!
