Letter O Song from ABC Mouse
Letter O Song with Jack Hartmann
We finished up a few activities from our space theme, including these counting rockets. They had the numbers #1-10 that they had to put in order and glue on correctly to create their rockets. Of course, they counted backwards with Mrs. Andrea to create their "blast off moment" too!
Check these cute projects out on the wall outside.
We also created planets by using markers to write all over coffee filters, and then we sprayed them with water. After they dried, they turned into these colorful planets that each kiddo got to name themselves. I love the creative names they came up with. These are also hanging on the wall too.
We used our dotters to find the letter "O" in the midst of other letters.
We also looked for our sight word "it" on our Community Vehicle sight word sheet as well. This is in their reading folder for further reference.
We talked about ways we can help our own community as well "with our own two hands." We can pick up trash, help out the elderly, take food to neighbors/shut-ins, help friends pick up toys, and so many other great ways.
We also got to create our own community out of shapes. We created houses, buildings, roads, etc. and even added little cut-outs of community helpers too. They turned out so colorful and creative!
We played a review game by rolling a dry erase dice that had a variety of our previous letters on it. We practiced saying, making the sound, and writing the letter that was rolled. We also did this with some of our sight words as well.
We drew pictures of our sweet Cooper D. that was our Student of the Week this week.
We worked on showing #15 on our ten frames using fun little stamp markers.
We brought in our letter "O" items for Show and Tell this week.
We had 1 oak leaf.
We had 1 olive and 1 Oscar the Grouch.
We had 2 oranges.
We had 2 octopuses.
We had 1 orange Kool-Aid packet.
We had 1 transformer named Optimus Prime.
We had 1 oven mitt.
We had 1 orange crayon.
We had 2 Olafs.
We had 1 owl.
We had 1 sea otter.
Have I mentioned how much I love it when kids voluntarily CHOOSE to look at books?! :)
Are these not the cutest pics? :) When I told them they could be ANYTHING they wanted to be, they really took me literally. I love these sweet dreams of the future!
Playdough time is always a hit!
Of course, time to spend playing with friends is too!
This sweet girl had a birthday this week. :)
We had some much-needed wiggle time in the green room this week to exercise our brains and our bodies!
Hope you enjoyed our pics from the week!
