Tabletop Morning Centers
Special friendship hugs on the way to recess! :)
We talked about the different kinds of weather and what we should wear during each type of weather. Thanks to all my sweet volunteers, we enjoyed a little fashion show for what attire to wear for windy days, rainy days, snowy days, and sunny days.
Hooded Sweatshirts for Windy Days
Snowsuits and Snow Hats for Snowy Days
Sunhats, Sunglasses and Shorts for Sunny Days
Raincoats and Umbrellas for Rainy Days
Dress Up Fun
Kiddos dressed up in all kinds of fun outfits this week. Cole chose to be brave and be the first boy to try on a dress. It was completely his idea and it actually fit him pretty well! ;)
All About Me Basket
Cole was our student of the week and shared a cute family photo and a few items that told us more about him and what he likes.
We had a special visitor this week who taught us some basic karate moves and great tips for showing manners and being respectful to others.
We worked on making name clouds by putting the letters in our name in order. Then we created a rainbow underneath the clouds with questions about what our favorite color, food, toy, and jobs we want to do when we grow up. They're hanging up in the hallway. Super cute!
We made a big "W" for weather and glued our types of weather labels to the paper. We also used our weather stamps and blue paint raindrops to show each type of weather.
We used letter "W" and #4 cookie cutters to cut out watermelon, and then we got to eat it. We also talked about the color of the week (red) in addition to our number and letter of the week. It takes a lot of hand strength to push these little cutters through the watermelon, so it was a delicious fine motor activity too!
