We read and watched part of the original "Cat in the Hat" movie, and we then worked on making patterns like the Cat in the Hat's hat.
We read the book "Fox in Socks," which is quite a tongue-twister, and then we created a fox puppet out of a paper sack.
We hunted for our sight word "like" in our reading groups and reviewed other sight words we've learned.
We read the book "Green Eggs and Ham," and then we talked about other things we would like to eat and where.
We made Lorax characters out of different shapes and big mustaches. It was great review for all the shapes we've covered so far.
After reading "The Foot Book," we measured our own feet using paper clips, pennies, and unifex cubes.
We created crafts that tell us "Z is for Zig Zags."
We created hats full of rhyming words that end in -at.
We painted "skillets" with green eggs on them.
We practiced our cutting skills and worked on the our sight word of the week "like."
